Sometime ago I purchased the Blackstone Fortress Escalation expansion. Not because I played Blackstone Fortress but because it contain some really cool models. At the time it included the best looking chaos cultist that Games Workshop produced, each a unique and dynamic pose. Of course Escalation is now out of print but the Cultist are available from the Chaos Space Marine section of the website. So with the recent release of a new boxset of Cultists armed with pistols and assorted close combat weapons I decided to make a gang list and start assembling and painting a Chaos Helot gang for Necromunda. Things got even better when Games Workshop released the Accursed Cultist as these would make awesome Chaos Spawn once a Dark Ritual has failed. I first assembled a group of Cultists armed with mainly outguns, but also a heavy stubber and a grenade launcher. Apologies because over the next few uploads there will be a little bit of a Cultist spam as I upload the images as they are painted. I have tried to vary the skin tone quite a bit of each Cultist to increase the variety which has been a challenge but I think I'm getting there. The first one off the painting desk has very pale skin and armed with an autogun which they are looking down the sights of to gain that all impoetnat+1 To Hit for Aiming.
