Brutogg Corpse-Eater

Although I said in the previous post that I would be returning to Necromunda (probably) for my next painting project, when I was looking through my collection of primed miniatures I couldn't resist the temptation to choose Brutogg Corpse-Eater, the ogre character from Cursed City. I purchased this miniature individually from Bay sometime ago. There was a surprising amount of detail on the model when I actually started painting it, as he was kitted out for his adventures in Ulfenkarn. He has his ale flask, coin pouch, kit bag and a pair of sheafed blades hanging from his belt. All these details need to be painted and unfortunately aren't visible in the image below. I really enjoyed painting the face detail embossed on his left shoulder guard. This was weathered with a little verdigris as I'm sure Brutogg wouldn't take that much care of his armour, or indeed in his general overall appearance. Other than these detail the model was either worn metal armour or flesh. I did decide to leave the tattoo off his right shoulder for now, but may revisit this in the future.

The base is quite scenic, I added a small rock, a mushroom, a skull and a small portion of moss covered cobblestone texture. Around this detail the general base cover was added, including tufts and fallen leaves. I was really pleased with how he came out in the end. His use on the tabletop will probably be in a game of Mordhiem, when we finally get around to playing it, he could be an ogre mercenary for my Orruk war band. Whether he is used or not he is a great addition to my collection
