Month in Review: February 2021

What did I buy?

February didn't have any new Necromunda releases for me to purchase, so my hobby dollars were spent elsewhere. For Warcry I purchased The Unmade warband which are one of the original chaos warbands. This leave just the Covas Cabal to pick up to complete the set of all the original warbands in my collection. I also purchased the Sentinels of Order book for Warcry, it wasn't my intention to pick up any of these books but as I managed to pick up a bunch of Stormcast Externals as part of the Mortal Realms part works for a good price I though it would come in useful. This book will obviously enable me to make a warband of these Stormcast Externals. I also purchased the Black Library Celebration 2021 miniature, Captain Uriel Ventris from the Ultramarines, along with Ventis I also purchased the older Black Library Celebration 2019 model, which was the awesome Severina Raine. That was about it for February, but worth a mention is that I finally received my Warhammer Commemorative Series, Gorzag Gitstompa and Nikkit models which I purchased from Games Workshop back in December. Also, of course, I pre ordered the Orlock Champion and Gangers and Rattus Tatterskin, Cawdor Hivescum from Forge World which are due to be released the first weekend of March.

What did I paint?

During February I managed to paint a total of seven miniatures, firstly I finished two Orlock gang members. These gangers where given heads and weapons from the Forge World packs. The first was a Champion with a heavy bolter and the other was a ganger with a flamer. I then moved on to paint a Iron Golem warband as my group of gamers are really keen to play some Warcry after the lockdown lifts. So I assembled all the members of the warband and finished painting five of them, these included three Iron Legionnaires, the large Ogor Breacher and the chaos dwarf Armator. I really enjoyed painting these guys and as the colour scheme was fairly basic they were pretty quick to paint. There are three more on the paint bench that will be completed soon.

What did I play?

Unfortunately due to the Covid pandemic I have been unable to get in any gaming due to the retractions of the national lockdown.
