Month in Review: October 2021

What did I buy?

October was another quiet month for spending my hobby pounds, there has been a heap of stuff that I'd like that has been previewed on the Warhammer Community website but as yet not released. I did however pick up the new plastic Van Saar Weapons and Upgrades pack. As with other gangs I already had the Forge World resin Weapon Upgrade pack but the plastic pack adds different heads and weapons selections. Of course purchased another boxset of Van Saar to assemble with the plastic upgrades. A friend asked me to sell a duplicate of the Lord of Plagues he had on Ebay, so i couldn't resist in offering a fair price to add him to my pile of shame.

What Did I Paint?

Only three miniatures painted this month, I didn't have a lot of hobby time as I had a two weeks vacation this month when I wasn't at home. But what did I get painted? Well a Primaris Space Marine Lieutenant, I haven't painted a Space Marine for over thirty years, back when Warhammer 40K second edition was released. He was great to paint and I painted him as a Ultramarine. I believe he came out really well, all that edge highlighting was a pain though. The next miniature was another Orlock ganger, armed with a Forge World resin shotgun. The third and final miniature painted this month was the first of the sixth original Necromunda gangs, a Delaque. Working on the remainder of the Delaque gang is my current project I am working through. but I will punctuate the project with other interesting miniatures to vary things a little.

What did I play?

Again I'm still yet to get a day of gaming under my belt since lock down has eased. My hobby buddies and I are just finding it too hard to get a day in the diary when we can all meet up to roll some dice and move our toy soldiers around on the to

tabletop.
