I went back to finishing on of the House of Chains (Goliath) gangers. I've a second set of ten gangers built with the weapon options from the Forge World Weapon Pack 1. This ganger is armed with a combi-melta and a power axe for close combat. Both weapons are from the resin Weapon Pack 1. I attempted to paint the blade of the power axe looking like there was power passing through it, but I'm not too sure about it. I'm not sure if i will use this effect again as opposed to just painting the blade in metallic silver. The combi weapon is a hefty bit of kit and in relation to the model, even a Goliath, quite large. It would definitely take a Goliath to wield it one handed I think. The colour scheme matches the rest of my House of Chains gangers, the tradition red and black as depicted on the box art. Although to make this ganger a little different I did, however, paint one side of his chest furnace plate with a black and white chequered pattern. There is another two models that need to be finished to have two completed boxes of Goliath gangers painted, and this will give plenty of weapon choices to use in game. I hope to have these finished and posted on the site soon-ish.
