Ragnir Gunnstein, Squat Ammo-jack

So this time I did return to the Underhive to chip away at my pile of Necromunda shame. I finished Ragnir Gunnstein, a Squat Ammo-jack from Forge World. As always, with Forge World, I really enjoyed painting this model. It's great to paint a model with so much crisp detail. He is covered in bandoliers contain bullets of various calibers, he holds a breached shotgun in his left hand (a total nightmare to securely glue in this position and I'm still not totally sure of the joins strength). In his right hand he holds a rusty wrench, another rusty wrench pokes out of his backpack. These wrenches were given a the Dirty Down Rust treatment and I was quite impressed with the effect, although I may have applied it a little too thickly. Of course it was statutory to give the Squat ginger hair and beard, and I added his white strip in his mohican. Three ammo crates come with the model and are part of his rules as an Ammo-jack. These were simply painted grey and given a dirty wash and an edge highlight.

In a couple of weeks I'll be heading off to Warhammer World to play a Necromunda Dramatise Personae Battle Royal on their Mining Complex terrain table, so over the next week or so I'll be working on the fighter cards and skill cards for all the participants of the match. Of course there will be a brief BatRep and an account of my visit with plenty of photos so look out for that. Although sadly I don't think Ragnir will be taking part.
