On Sunday it was announced on the Warhammer Community website that the amazing Ash Waste Thatos Pattern terrain will coming in separate kits and be available for preorder this weekend. It's tme to expand the settlement.
The first kit that was shown was a new kit to the range that we haven't seen before, which features a Thatos Pattern Extended Hab. A larger Hab Module than the ones included in the Ash Waste core box set. This extended module looks great. It's extended size gives it two addition facings on it's long edges, as if two has were side by side.. It sits atop a pair of sturdy supports and looks as if there will be new accessories too, like the guy rope seen at the front of the building.
Also the original Thatos Pattern Hab Module will be available to purchase as an individual kit. This is the same as the ones originally included with Ash Wastes and looks to come with a full accessory sprue to individualise the dwellings. I've got to say I'm liking this colour scheme with the deep red and yellow.
The third kit that will be available for preorder from Saturday is the Platform and Walkways kit, and of cause if you purchase any additional modules you will need extra walkways to connect it all together to enable the fighters to traverse the settlement. I really want to run a Necromunda game using these Hab Modules but instead of being set in the Ash Waste it's a settlement out in the a sump sea.
I will definitely be preordering one of each of these kits at the weekend and looking forward to adding a couple more to my collection in the future. Saying this I still want to expand my Underhive terrain collection too. That is the problem with a new environment coming to Necromunda, my hobby dollars don't spread as far.
