Space Marine Primaris Apothecary

I have had this Space Marine Apothecary in my miniature collection for quite awhile now. I original picked him up as part of the Warhammer 4000: Conquest partwork. So instead of the usual £24 he only cost the £7.99 cover price, so an absolute bargain. He has also been assembled and sitting on the "pending" shelf for ages too. So when I had a bit of free time to paint I thought why the hell not, I'll have a go at painting white armour. How hard can it be? Very, it turned out. Firstly the miniature was given a undercoat of Coax White spray and then the white was built up in thin layers hoping to achieve a smooth ceremite finish, I even finished with a glaze of white ink in the hope to improve the finish. Even with all these steps I think the armour looks acceptable but I was expecting better results. The rest of the model was fun to paint, with all it's interesting details. As usual I followed the scheme that was on the Games Workshop website. ultimately a miniature that will probably never get to be used on the tabletop but a great addition to my display case and will be able to keep the loan Space Marine already residing there company.
